Screen Printing Screen wash

Screen Printing Screen wash to remove plastisol ink and opaque Water-based ink residue.

How to use

Instructions: Card off all remaining ink off the Silk screen. For Plastisol and solvent inks , soak a small rag with screen wash and wipe all the ink off, allow screen to dry.

Water based ink scrape off and place back in the pot. Wash screen down with water, under tap or hose. allow to dry then dab screen wash on a dry rag. Wipe off ink residue applying circular motions. leave the screen to dry.

The screen cleaner is used after you’ve done your last print. With water-based inks, you can use water and fairy liquid.
However, the screen cleaner will accelerate the cleanup and help any of those tough bits without damaging the stencil.

We often use water & fairly liquid, but have the screen wash on the side and use it for the more difficult and stubborn bits!
It is a good all round general purpose screen wash for cleaning ink from silk screens immediately after printing, also for washing up prior to print breaks and also cleaning squeegees.

For health and safety you must wear eye protection and gloves when using this kit. Always keep out of the reach from children.

A concentrated water mixable solvent blend containing surfactants that is used straight during print runs

To remove ink during a Print run
For best results apply the screen wash (neat) as soon as possible after printing, before the ink has dried in.

Apply to both sides of the screen with either a screen cleaning brush or a cloth.

Leave to stand for 2 minutes whilst the ink softens.

The low volatility of this product allows longer dwell times than traditional cleaning solvents, for improved ink removal with reduced staining.

Wipe off of your screen using a clean cloth or a rag (no water to be added in this process or it will soften your stencil).

Leave the screen to dry before starting your new print run.

To remove ink after your Print run

For best results apply the screen wash diluted as soon as possible after printing, before the ink has dried in.

Apply to both sides of the screen with a screen cleaning brush.

Leave to stand for 2 minutes whilst the ink softens.

The low volatility of this product allows longer dwell times than traditional cleaning solvents, for improved ink removal with reduced staining.

Wash both sides of the screen thoroughly with water to remove all traces of solvent.

Please ensure that all traces of the solvent are removed before using your pressure washer.

The solution has a shelf life of 2 years when stored at 0 to 30 degrees.
